Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the entire can of peaches with their syrup into your prepared dish. Spread them evenly across the bottom.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Don't stir or mix - keep ingredients layered.
- Arrange thin butter slices across the entire surface of the cake mix.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans over everything for added texture and nutty flavor.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top turns golden brown and you hear gentle bubbling around the edges. The center should feel set when lightly touched.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Don't drain the peaches - the syrup creates essential moisture. Avoid stirring layers together. Use cold butter slices for better browning. Don't open oven door frequently. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat individual portions in microwave for 30 seconds or whole pan in 300°F oven for 15 minutes. Can substitute frozen peaches (thawed with juice), white cake mix, or walnuts for pecans.
