Ingredients

  • 6 large Granny Smith apples, cored and diced
  • 6 fun-size Snickers bars, chopped
  • 1 3.4 oz package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 8 oz container whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method

  1. Wash, core, and dice the apples into bite-sized pieces, leaving the skin on for extra texture and nutrition. Toss immediately with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the instant pudding mix with cold milk for exactly 2 minutes until it begins to thicken. Let it stand for 5 minutes to fully set.
  3. Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding base using a rubber spatula. Work slowly to maintain the light, airy texture.
  4. Add the prepared apples and chopped Snickers bars to the creamy mixture. Fold gently until every piece is coated with the pudding base.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts just before serving for extra crunch.

Notes

Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. Don't skip the lemon juice to prevent apple browning. Add Snickers bars just before serving to maintain texture. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 3 days, best enjoyed within 24 hours. Don't overmix to maintain light, fluffy texture.
